Pasos para entrar en Second Life

1. Crear una cuenta gratuita:

Para crear la cuenta existen varios portales de creación de cuentas españoles o latinos y el de la web oficial Second Life. Esta es la web oficial de second life aqui les dejo el link para que se registren  http://secondlife.com/ 

Deberás de introducir los datos que te piden y recuerda siempre que la creación de una cuenta inicial es totalmente gratuita, y puede ser gratuita siempre.

Al principio debemos dar nuestros datos reales. Con tan sólo introducir un nombre, un apellido, tu fecha de nacimiento, sexo y un email real tendremos suficiente.

Mas abajo, podremos elegir el nombre en Second Life , pero recordemos que el Apellido solo lo podremos seleccionar de una lista que nos proporcionan. Cuidado en este paso ya que el nombre que te pongas se quedará para siempre y NO SE PODRÁ CAMBIAR DESPUÉS!!!

También podrás elegir tu apariencia inicial, aunque no te preocupes por esto porque podrás cambiarla a tu gusto cuando tengas un poco más de experiencia dentro de Second Life, de hecho es una de las cosas divertidas que tiene second life, el cambio de apariencia de avatar.

 Finalmente te pide una pregunta de seguridad para el caso en el que olvides tu clave poder recordartela.

2. Descargar el visor de Second Life

Una vez que nos hemos dado de alta en Second Life necesitaremos tener un programa instalado en nuestro ordenador que es el visualizador o cliente de Second Life.

Para descargarlo si estás registrandote por la web de Second Life al final te redirecciona a la página de descargas para que lo bajes.
Lo más importante de este paso es:

- El programa que te descargas es de aproximadamente 30 a 40 Mb.
- Necesitas tener una buena conexión de internet de al menos 3 mb, no para que baje rápido la descarga sino porque Second Life requiere cierto ancho de banda para que las imagenes y el sonido, junto con los gráficos 3D vayan bien.
- Necesitas tener un equipo que soporte gráficos en 3d. Si quieres comprobar si tu equipo cumple los requesitos pulsa aquí y se te hará un test que te dice si lo soporta:

• Pulsa en CAN YOU RUN IT?
• Dejar que se instale la aplicación SRLApplet (SysReqLab.cab o SRLApplet es una aplicación Java) para verificar si tu equipo lo soporta.

3. Entrar en Second Life

Ya nos hemos hecho una cuenta gratuita y tenemos instalado el cliente/visualizador de Second Life, ahora:

1- Ejecutamos el visor ya instalado INICIO>Programas>Second Life>Second Life o desde el icono del escritorio.
2- Al abrirse el programa visor de Second Life, introducir el Nombre que pusimos cuando nos dimos de alta en FIRST NAME , Apellido que seleccionamos de la lista desplegable cuando nos dimos de alta en LAST NAME. Y por supuesto el password respetando mayusculas y minúsculas.´
